Jupiter In Libra Opposite Uranus In Aries, Part 1

jupiterinlibraoppositeuranusinariesOne of the next major astrological lineups we have on our hands is the impending opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.  While not exact until December 26, 2016, this vibe is currently active and building and it is particularly worth paying attention to because it will reoccur twice more – once on March 2, 2017 and a final time on September 27, 2017.  We will see the effects of this energy playing out a few weeks before AND after this configuration perfects, so it’s definitely a dominating energetic backdrop to the astro-scene that lingers well beyond the specific dates listed above.

What might we expect from the opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries?  Quite a bit, actually – like all things astrological there’s never just one manifestation; rather there are layers to it. The first that came to mind for me involves the “we vs. me” theme of the Libra/Aries axis.  Coupled peeps should be aware this is a time when unexpected opportunities may surface for one or even both partners within that union, potentially leaving the partnership on uncertain footing.  It may even entail a distance separation.  In a neutral sense, this space can be thought of as simply giving the relationship some air, and it is fully possible for the space to bring growth & opportunity for both – for example,  for a greater level of independence or for emphasizing our social lives outside of that union to bring better balance between individuality vs. coupledom.

Ideally – in the Grand Scheme of Things – this space allows us to grow together rather than apart, but there are certainly no guarantees when Uranus is involved. Can we still want the best for a partner when these opportunities result in each of us going our separate ways (at least for the time being)?  This energy raises many questions about the growth of a union vs. our individual evolutionary Journey – can we still come together after we each go our own way, or is this where our Paths diverge?   What if an opportunity for a Significant Other means they wind up going cross-country or even intercontinental for a while?  What this really amounts to is an exercise in faith and trust….if you love something then set it free under this astro, because it may return to you better than it left you.  But if it continues to fly, then let it soar and believe this is because there is something much better in store!

Now for the single peeps – and particularly those who rabidly prize their independence – the opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries may enlarge prospects for partnering.  There is the possibility of unexpectedly meeting Mr. or Mrs. Right and suddenly being challenged to shift that partnering philosophy.  What happens when you’re not looking to be partnered and yet in a bolt of freak luck from out of the clear blue you meet a good man or woman completely from left field (perhaps through friends/online/at a meetup group) who’s actually really good for you – what do you do THEN?  Or what happens – even if you aren’t all gung-ho about being single – if you have the sudden epiphany that a friend would make a really good partner?  Could the friendship survive this?  Should you act on it? There can definitely be a division between “Let’s just be friends” vs. “Let’s turn this into something more” under this astrological vibe.

There’s much more to come on this opposition – stay tuned…
