Pisces Full Moon, Conjunct Neptune

I tried to outrun the gathering storm – it worked…for a while. But the minuscule drips soon turned to cascading droplets and there was no escaping it; I was out in the weather. The pouring heavens cried – I felt their tears wick through my soft cotton tank and into my sports bra as I ran through the deluge. I tried in vain to dry the sky’s eyes but the thin streams trickling down the side of the road soon eddied and gushed into small rivers, soaking hair, skin, feet. I surrendered completely to the rain, allowing it to wash over me as I received its absolution; blessed holy water from above cleansing mankind of its transgressions. Sometimes we all need a good cry – Mother Earth is no exception. I made my peace with the downpour as I pressed on, knowing sanctuary awaited if I just kept moving forward.

Mars Enters Virgo

Welcome to Mars in Virgo! There is no scene in the history of cinema that describes this vibe more perfectly than the following clip:

“What was this drug? I couldn’t stay messy on it, hadn’t had a cigarette in 6 hours, hadn’t eaten…so abstemious and tidy..? What was this; a drug for people who wanted to be more anal retentive? I wasn’t high, wasn’t wired; just clear – I knew what I needed to do and how to do it.”
LOL, no substances required; it’s just you on Mars in Virgo! 😀 So clean the bejezus out of everything, organize your life, nix the nicotine/caffeine/anything screwing with your health, and cut all the crap out of your diet – this energy is guerrilla nutrition at its finest; fight back against lethargy and inertia with a kickass diet and exercise routine that motivates you to operate at peak health and efficiency!

Vintage Mars In Leo Vibe

This one comes to us courtesy of the (Violent) Femmes:

“Day after day
I get angry
And I will say
That the day
Is in my sight
When I’ll take a bow
And say goodnight!”

LOL, I think it’s cute that he omits the part involving the spectacular fanfare which tends to accompany this “Exit, stage right!” – when Mars in Leo is angry, the one thing you can be sure of is there will be some kind of “scene” just before that bow.  😛

On a hunch, I felt compelled to run a chart for Violent Femmes lead singer/songwriter Gordon Gano. While he was born mere days after Mars exited Leo, he *does*, however, still have Mars located adjacent to über Leo star Regulus; flagship star of this constellation sometimes referred to as the Heart of the Lion whose literal astronomical designation *is* Alpha Leonis – I knew the lyric sounded familiar and had that Mars in Leo-like “ring” to it.

Shamanic Chiron, Part 2

***Get caught up with Part 1 of this series HERE.

I do not use the term “shamanic” lightly at all when discussing Chiron – I sometimes hear this word thrown around rather casually within the spiritual community (often within the context of someone describing experiences with things such as psilocybin, peyote, or ayahuasca) and to me it feels…disrespectful; as if it were some kind of catch-all term watering down the word’s real significance. While I do not dismiss the cultural and spiritual role such substances play when safely and respectfully handled in their proper ritualistic contexts by the proper people with proper training and authority, if you’re equating being in an altered state of consciousness as the sum total of “shamanic”, IMO you’ve got it all wrong. Waaaaay wrong – *that* is Neptune’s domain; more on this particular distinction in a moment.

Needless to say, I must admit that I cringe a little inside whenever this happens because to me it feels to me like cultural appropriation; especially if/when the word “shamanic” is being astrologically ascribed to a celestial body other than Chiron. Chiron is so often overlooked as it is in astrology that it hardly seems fair to take his “land” away like this; much in the same way the conquistadors of yore encroached upon the native kingdoms of indigenous peoples; the results of which were effectively cultural – if not literal – genocide. I do not want Chiron to suffer the same fate in a cosmic context, so as an astrologer I find myself rather protective of his domain and of the keywords that resonate with this vibration. In my eyes, Uranus is the clairvoyant, Neptune the mystic, and Pluto the occultist but it is Chiron alone who has the ability to walk the liminal boundary between Earth and Sky to reconnect body and Spirit with the Earth and the element of Aether for profound healing. It can be literal healing of mind/body/soul or it can be more figurative in nature, but the word “shamanic” is less about experiences with psychedelics and more about Initiation into a Medicine of one stripe or another that helps us to understand life on a profoundly different level so we can heal others. The modality(ies) can be different for each person, but the effects are the same.

I mentioned in Part 1 of this series that I have seen this celestial body’s fingerprint feature very strongly both in the charts of clients whose personal sacred beliefs resonate closely with those of indigenous peoples and those who literally follow a shamanic Path in terms of being actual healers. One of the more memorable consultations I had along these lines was for a woman seeking career guidance – I remember telling her that she had actual shamanic lineage flowing through her blood and was rather stunned when she subsequently revealed that she was in fact descended from the Inca people. Needless to say, I have no doubt in my mind her ancestors had indeed served as the village healers!

However, don’t just take my word for it – there are also many famous figures that provide us with some great examples of the Chiron vibe. The first and most literal that comes to mind is the nativity of controversial author Carlos Castaneda; a man with (not surprisingly for someone known for writing several books on the subject of Mesoamerican shamanism) Chiron in the area of his chart associated with writing and communication. Castaneda is a Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) with Aquarius Rising (co-ruled by Saturn) with Saturn sitting in tight but funky aspect to Chiron. Chiron is also linked up to fuzzy fictional Neptune, which means Saturn & Neptune are in a tight square as well; is it real, is it a hoax, or maybe it was all just a dream (or entheogens??) – no one knows for sure. Chiron is also noteworthy in his chart by virtue of the fact that it squares Jupiter and his Nodal Axis – it seems he was fated to write about this subject regardless of how contentious the publication of that material was destined to be

But many times Chiron’s “shamanic” vibe isn’t quite so literal in its expression and is instead translated through creative mediums. One of the better examples we see of this is via actor/director Kevin Costner; another Capricorn Sun but with Chiron less than a degree away from it. One of his best-known works was “Dances With Wolves”; a film that won several academy awards with its sensitive and humanizing (albeit romanticized and sentimental) depiction of Native American people; which was pretty much unheard of in the Western genre up until that point in time. Costner’s artistic vision did much to heal damage done by the Hollywood film industry’s depiction of the Native American as “the savage” – unsurprisingly, his Sun/Chiron combo is in a tight square to soft, idyllic, cinematic Neptune. One of his other best-known roles (in Field of Dreams) was that of a clairaudient man Ray Kinsella whose vision (Neptune) led to the healing of the painful wound (Chiron) he carried regarding his relationship with his father (Capricorn Sun) – if that’s not a perfect illustration of his astro, I’m not sure what is.

There is also the astrological case study of Jim Morrison; a Sagittarius with his Sun situated in a very tight square to Chiron in Virgo. Lead singer of legendary band “The Doors”, Jim also served as the group’s primary lyricist and expressed Chiron in Virgo’s energy via the written word – fitting, given Virgo’s literary ties. Chiron began affecting Jim very early on in life and one of the formative experiences he described having was the memory of driving through a Reservation with his family at age 4 and seeing a car accident involving several Native Americans. He was deeply affected by this incident in a spiritual sense and it eventually gave rise to the now-famous “Indians scattered on dawn’s highway bleeding; ghosts crowd the young child’s fragile eggshell mind” lyric along with his adoption of the totemic Lizard King moniker. Jim claimed that it felt as if he were in fact possessed by the wandering souls of the Native Americans he had encountered on that fateful day; perhaps in a sense he was (metaphorically, if not literally). The Lizard symbolism seems eerily fitting if we consider its possible ties to the shamanic concept of soul loss – lizards frequently drop their tails when in danger and to me this seems to align with the premise that a trauma (such as that of a young child witnessing a horrible automobile accident) can result in a part of the soul actually being lost. IMO, it is entirely possible the souls of these individuals stayed with the young Morrison emotionally, psychologically, or perhaps in Spirit in a surrogate capacity and led him to become a sort of poet-shaman in a sense.

There are many interesting examples of the Chiron vibe in action, but I thought these astro-case studies might provide readers with a richer understanding of the word “shamanic” beyond the myopic context of just the (recreational? ritual?) use of psychedelics. Linking the (possibly hallucinogenic-induced) seeing of “visions” with the word “shamanic” is a lot like equating a Ferris Wheel with Disneyland; yes each of the formers are part and parcel of their respective latters, but just because you’re on a Ferris Wheel it doesn’t automatically mean you’re at “The Happiest Place On Earth”. The result is a rather one-dimensional perspective on what Chiron is all about and my hope in continuing this series is to help crack open the doors of perception to shift the way people understand this astrological energy.

The Leo Solar Eclipse: Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Americans have a truly special event to look forward to in about a week – on August 21st there will be a Total Solar Eclipse taking place in Leo and clear skies permitting, everyone will get to enjoy a spectacular celestial show! Carve out some space in your day to observe if you can, because the next one won’t take place over U.S. soil until 2024 so this is something pretty special indeed. I’ve been tweeting about this event off and on for months and have written about it extensively elsewhere but have thus far avoided blogging about it so as not to be too repetitious. However, I realize some of my regular blog readers might appreciate a piece on the Leo Solar Eclipse so today I am excerpting a little teaser on the subject from my newsletter – this is a sample of what you’re missing out on if you’re not currently subbed to my monthly newsletter:

But these aren’t the only features of this magnificent Solar Eclipse – there’s more. When we bring Fixed Stars into this equation we find this Leo eclipse very near royal Regulus – The Heart of the Lion – which is why I have referred to this eclipse as a “Total Eclipse of the Heart“. Because of this association, I feel there is a strong link to Anahata; the 4th chakra perhaps more commonly referred to as the “Heart Center”. Anahata is the seat of Love and this eclipse in effect serves as a celestial invitation to connect with this chakra and crack it open to let Love in to heal; whether that’s love for ourselves, for someone else, or on a more transpersonal level regarding our fellow man. There has been so much collective hurt and wounding to Anahata in recent years due the current global geopolitical climate that it’s as if we’re being begged by The Cosmos to attend to these injuries – I don’t think it is a coincidence this eclipse is taking place over American soil, as perhaps it may be one of the places in the world most in need of this kind of healing right now. Anahata itself is a beautiful word that means “unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten” and this Leo eclipse is like a spiritual call-to-arms asking us to be lion-hearted in facing and remediating the ways in which this chakra may have been damaged, both individually and collectively.

As the middle chakra, Anahata unites the physical and spiritual, the Upper and Lower worlds, so there is an intermediary feel to this energy center. Not surprisingly we see this theme echoed in the Leo Eclipse by virtue of its contact to shamanic asteroid Chiron – the Chiron represents both the wound and the healing, and with the inconjunct it makes to this Eclipse the Journey from one to the other is likely to be uncomfortable. But we’ve gotten to the point where we can no longer ignore the (individual and ergo collective) pain – we’re at the point where our Heart Chakra is crying out for attention and it will continue to do so until we compassionately address the source(s) of the chronic distress.

Though we have been discussing the 4th chakra exclusively up until now, I do feel that because this is a Solar Eclipse and we’re dealing with Solar (Leo) Energy, there is merit to also examining the potential for imbalance within the Solar Plexus chakra as well. The 3rd chakra, Manipura, has ties to pride and arrogance among other things – on a macro level, with this eclipse being referred to as “The Great American Eclipse” I can’t help but sense a connection to the appeal of the slogan “Make America Great Again”. For the USA, the wound in need of healing may relate to a loss of confidence replaced by a false sense of hubris. We all want a nation we can be proud of – we can choose to allow this to be a source of agony or we can choose to Journey back to the Heart Center instead and respond to this from a place of compassion. Not all are Awake, nor is it our place to exert our power over those who sleep or who pretend to be sleeping – we can only transcend this by pain healing our own hearts and following its dictates to the best of our ability, trusting this process will help to heal the wounds of the Collective Unconscious.

I’ve focused so much on the theme of healing that it almost feels redundant to mention Fixed Star Regulus (which you will recall is quite near this Eclipse) also has association with Archangel Raphael. But if we are concentrating on channeling the energies of the Leo Solar Eclipse, I feel this is an important correlation to mention for the sake of those who might also wish to make a connection to the angelic realms. Whether we are praying for individual or collective, physical or meta-physical “healing” of some type, I can’t think of a much better ally to have onside for these purposes! If we are so inclined, erecting a small meditation altar or prayer nook with a statuette or picture of Archangel Raphael or even more broadly involving angelic imagery in general would be a lovely way to honor the energy of this eclipse and make our intentions and/or prayers heard. Archangel Raphael has other facets to his patronage as well – bringing this back full circle to the Heart Center once again, he is the patron saint of marriage, happy meetings, and lovers, so we see him connected to the greater theme of Love. As such, this eclipse presents a wonderful opportunity to open our hearts up again – remember: New Moon, new beginnings! Incidentally, I should mention he is also a patron of the blind, so we must be sure to view this Solar Eclipse only with the aid of specialty viewing equipment lest we have need of his assistance for real!”

This is just touching upon select facets of next Monday’s Total Solar Eclipse in Leo, but hopefully it will provide my readers with fertile material for further contemplation.  If you would like to subscribe to my free monthly newsletter, you can subscribe via the link on the right sidebar above.            ————————>   Or,  you can request a copy of the full issue where this article was excerpted from from by leaving a comment below – blessings!

Healing Chiron In Pisces Pain

A how-to guide in a nutshell:

The agony of isolation is actually an illusion caused by a disconnection from the Universal; reconnect to this and you will find respite from that which ails you. We are never truly alone – anyone in human history who has experienced, is currently experiencing, or who will experience similar pain is right beside us in Spirit. Imagine how many people over how many thousands of locations and lifetimes understand exactly what we’re going through! If this visualization isn’t enough by itself, there is always Divinity to turn to; Spirit is always there for us. Go within and reconnect to God/Goddess/Source, your Guides, Angels, Ancestors, and any Power Animals (living, passed on, or symbolic) that resonate with you – remembering always that Divinity has an infinite amount of love, mercy, and compassion for whatever we are going through – because spiritual healing is a huge keynote of this energy. Meditate, pray, and in those moments when the road ahead seems impossible, practice surrender and ask for help. The more we do so, the better our chances for a miraculous healing.

Jupiter Square Pluto: Growth Fixation

As we approach the final hit of the square between Jupiter & Pluto (exact Aug 4th), some of us have definitely developed a serious fixation on growth over the last 8+ months! But this is not the light-n-fluffy version we’ve been doing, though – this is some catalytic, subterranean shit and as such it is important to remember that not all growth takes place in the sunlight. Think: Root (chakra?) development. Some massive morphs have been taking place since this formation first perfected in late 2016, but much of it may have been occurring underground in the deepest reaches of our psyches – note this leveling-up process may have actually come about through a huge “purge” of one kind or another; something that in hindsight actually serves to lighten our energy, though admittedly it may have felt rather hellish in the moment.

Spiritually speaking, I hope this doesn’t sound too ominous because I certainly don’t intend it to; I’m merely reflecting upon the necessity of honoring Darkness in equal measure with Light. I’ve never understood people who don’t believe in “rooting down to rise up” – it’s foreign to me whenever I hear someone speak of Ascension or spiritual development as if it should be this blissful, easy, terminally positive thing that completely bypasses the ugly bits of digging down into our own internal sludge.  On the contrary; my personal view has always been that one can’t have honest enlightenment otherwise – you have to fortify the root system first, which entails digging a deep and spacious hole so the root ball can grow wide and strong. To do that, you’re going to have to get your hands dirty; it’s absolutely integral to the process – there is a reason why they say “No mud, no lotus.” The lotus does not spontaneously grow from pristine waters; it arises from swampy pools rich in organic matter where the process of decomposition enriches the root system and is then carried all the way to the topmost reaches of the plant where it blooms. The current astro is very similar – if we want to develop, flourish, and blossom, often something old and outworn must be allowed to die off.

Some Pluto In Capricorn Cautions

“Long-term sustainability” is more than just some trendy catchphrase; it’s a concept we all need to be deeply considering during Pluto in Capricorn.  Why? Pluto represents the principle of destruction and when it inhabits the enduring sign of The Goat we do need to be very careful about things that degrade the long-term sustainability of something in our lives; particularly if it involves our career, professional field as a whole, status, or reputation and DOUBLY so if the cause of this potential ruin stems from any ethically funky conduct.

Capricorn likes to build things up, but Pluto razes them to the ground and there is a “deconstructed” feel to Pluto in Capricorn overall; especially when it comes to uncovering the basic framework or modeling that makes a current (business?) model of something unworkable in the long run.  It becomes increasingly important to consider how viable something is in its present form while being nuclear conscious of the way(s) in which the energy we’re putting into that particular venture is either going to enrich or undermine it.  And with Saturn soon entering Capricorn and approaching a conjunction with Pluto in the not-too-distant future (Jan 2020), ambitions can become intensified in such a way that we may lock onto the goal of ascending to the summit at all costs.  The very last thing we want to do ahead of this kind of astro is to build upon the wrong foundation, because to topple from that kind of height can be devastating at the least and perhaps even lethal in a worst-case scenario.

Obviously, averting this kind of outcome is highly advisable – to do this we must first consider WHAT we’re using our power for and HOW we’re using it (hint: ethically and responsibly are always pretty good places to start).  We must be mindful of the energy we’re directing toward our image/brand and take seriously any threats that stand to detract from our reputation.  Integrity – especially in a professional sense – is absolutely critical; it’s when we try to cheat and take shortcuts to success, compromise our standards for greed or because we’re terrified we “won’t make it” otherwise, and do not respect our limitations that we get into trouble.  This energy hits professionals of all stripes, but I do think it’s likely be harder on business owners, teachers, and law enforcement in general and we really must pause to consider how anything we do might reflect badly upon our profession as a whole.  Holding ourselves to the highest possible standard and considering the mark we’re leaving on the world (which hopefully doesn’t amount to a stain) is critical; under this energy it is better to ditch a career path or fold up a business if the alternative involves disgrace – the refusal to do something that damages self-respect is the most reliable litmus test for integrity, always.

If one is involved in the law enforcement field, this is a mighty important time to be examining any potential power and/or control complexes within that compel us to seek authority over others – get that shit sorted out NOW because the karmic retribution is likely to be terrible if/when our unexamined psychological baggage leads to a misuse/abuse of position.  Those who teach in any capacity must be prepared to make sure they are stringently qualified to specialize in the areas they plan to teach, because illegitimacy may be a real issue under this energy while also respecting the integrity of the fundamental foundations of these subjects – this is not a time to get all loosey-goosey and teach a corrupted version of something we’ve learned because this would amount to tainting the wisdom.  Distill it down into something more potent while staying true to the core teachings by all means, but do not veer toward irreverent disregard for the System (whatever that may be) or tried-and-true keystone(s) that have withstood the test of time.  It’s also a time to consider very careful WHAT tools you are giving to WHOM – for example, this would not be the time to put occult teachings in the wrong hands.  And be prepared to accept responsibility for what you’re passing down to students, for they are your legacy.  Supervise them to ensure the wisdom and tools you instill within are handled respectfully and responsibly so they prove a credit to the teachings, because under this energy it’s easier than normal – if this caution is not heeded – to wind up pumping out a student who not only reflects badly upon YOUR good name, but it also circles back to the earlier point I made about not degrading the long-term sustainability of one’s field as a whole by giving it a bad reputation (ex: a “quack” psychologist or one that is going into the field for the wrong reasons/has not worked through their own psychological baggage).  Business owners, on the other hand, may find themselves having to make some tough calls that affect the integrity and/or survivability of their biz/business model. Remember what I said before: It’s better to take a loss or fold a company than compromise our standards, credibility, or ethics under this vibe – in the long run, we are likely to be screwed far harder for doing so.

“Bad” Moon Rising

“Depths of the Scorpio Moon” ©EmpoweredDestiny.com 2017. All rights reserved.

I’m fairly certain John Fogerty (of CCR fame) must have written the band’s hit song “Bad Moon Rising” under a Scorpio Moon.  Just listen to the lyrics; the sense of an impending apocalypse, natural disasters galore, mortality, wrath and destruction, an eye-for-an-eye – what a cheery little ditty, LOL! 😀

But my point is the mood of this song aligns quite well with the Scorpio Moon; a sign where the Moon is said to be in her astrological “Fall”.  A planet in this condition requires extra supervision from the chart owner, as its natural default expressions tend to be more problematic as a general rule.

Mind you, Fallen planets absolutely *can* be harnessed  constructively (even exceptionally so) by those who own them so it’s not as if this is truly a “Bad Moon”; it’s just this usually requires a considerable amount of wisdom gained from experience (sometimes called trial-and-error) to make it so.  We must remember that celestial bodies in this state are not inherently comfortable expressing themselves in a manner that is truest to their basic nature, so as a result they tend to express themselves awkwardly and can bumble around a bit until they gain more self-awareness.  For example, put a tomboy in a tutu and grace does not come easily or naturally.  With awareness and practice this can most certainly be gained, but I think the best way to describe planets in their Fall (or Detriment, for that matter) is thus: They lack innate aptitude for the typical job required of them.

Now in the case of the Scorpio Moon, we must first understand the Moon is associated with nurturing, comfort, and femininity (among many other things).  The sign of Scorpio, however, tends to put us deep into our un-comfort zone –  instead of a hug and warm fuzzy feelings, perhaps we’re given the heebie-jeebies.  Or maybe we *are* given a squeeze, but so intensely it becomes a death grip where we can’t breathe.  Related to this, from a parenting perspective the Scorpio Moon should be extra careful not to allow nurturing instincts to slip into overdrive where this becomes too intense/extreme.  While no doubt meaning well, some relinquishing of control over one’s children is beneficial so youngsters don’t feel smothered.  As far as femininity goes, since both the Moon and Scorpio are Yin this placement has to be vigilant not to use emotion or feminine wiles manipulatively; especially for the sake of feeding a psychological need for control.  The Scorpio Moon also tends to have a strong tie-in to the matrilineal DNA in particular for good OR ill. Occasionally this may manifest as an inherited “sixth sense” – if ever there were an astrological placement that speaks of “witchy” tendencies being genetically passed down through the bloodline, the Scorpio Moon would certainly be a placement to bring this out!  Frequently there also tends to be “strong women” in the family; perhaps those that overcame significant devastation or survived a brush with mortality in some way. The physical body can be dominated by hereditary strengths and illnesses alike, and particularly for women there may be an inclination toward hellish menstrual cycles, high-risk pregnancies, miscarriage and/or terminations, or complications arising during childbirth that can put life of mother or child (or both) in jeopardy – having excellent OBGYN care is an absolute *must* for this Moon sign; I’m not sure that any Scorpio Moon in the history of the world has ever said that being a woman was easy…!

So now that we’ve discussed a few challenges associated with this placement, let’s talk about some of the Hi-Fi sides of the Scorpio Moon.  For starters, this can be an extremely deep and emotionally sophisticated placement – the ability to deconstruct complex layers of tangled feelings in a way that gets right to the heart of the issue can make them wizards of psychological insight when it comes to our internal workings.  Scorpio Moons naturally make some of the best counselors, therapists, and/or psychologists on the planet because of this; not to mention that if anyone in the zodiac is going to be able to care for someone in a crisis and/or comfort them through grief/loss/trauma, it is this Moon sign!  Scorpio Moons tend to have a vast reservoir of emotional resources to pull from when the proverbial shit hits the fan; a quality that often makes them indispensable to those in “dark” places.  They’re also inclined to be incredibly loyal to those they consider “family”;  whether this is the family they were born into, the family they made, or their “family of choice” – when a Scorpio Moon says they’d take a bullet for you, they mean it!   They can be fiercely protective by nature and will circle the wagons around the vulnerable without hesitation to lend their strength – there is a bit of mama Grizzly Bear in every Scorpio Moon, I think!  Finally, their acute emotional sensitivity frequently gives them the capacity for intense receptivity to others needs – they can feel the vibes coming off you, see the look in your eyes, read your body language, and know exactly how to respond to your feelings without so much as a word being exchanged.

Making The Most Of Jupiter In Libra

Jupiter will enter Scorpio for a year-long stay on October 20, 2017 and this means we only have a few more months of Jupiter in Libra left to go! Jupiter has recently resumed direct motion and now sits at the halfway point of Libra, and as such I thought this would be an opportune moment to assess whether we’ve been making the most out of its tour through the sign of The Scales – if not, there is still plenty of time to get right!

Jupiter is king of more, more, more – when he treks through refined Libra it’s a call for more love, grace, tact, beauty, fairness, harmony, cooperation, sharing, and general pleasantness. Are we seizing all the opportunities this transit has made available to us to elevate our game in any and all of these respects? Are we truly emphasizing kindness, peacefulness, unity, and reciprocity in our minds and hearts, or could we be doing better?

Honesty is an important keynote of Jupiter, but when it’s in Libra we benefit from softening it a bit via kindness – diplomatic honesty and tactful candor really do make the difference. Boost the truth with a pinch of sugar; something nice and/or complimentary that makes it more palatable. Seek to be extra gracious, because it does get you much further with people when Jupiter is in Libra. Don’t go overboard because then it may come across as disingenuous, but putting a little polish on the truth makes it infinitely more appealing, don’t you think? It’s the difference between “Oh MAN, your ass looks big in those jeans!” vs. “The cut of that skirt is more flattering” – we’re still being honest, but we’re not using this as an excuse to be lazy with our manners. Jupiter in Libra does ask that we civilize our candor!

Are we still judging books by their covers? Lo-Fi Jupiter in Libra can be incredibly looksist; Hi-Fi Jupiter in Libra understands beauty is a total package! I mentioned before this placement is all about “more beauty”, but this is meant in an all-encompassing context rather than pure aesthetics. It’s fine and dandy to improve your appearance under this vibe; just be sure you have more to offer rather than relying upon good looks to open every door up wide. While it may help to superficially crack them, enhancing this with copious amounts of charm, elegance, grace, and tasteful good humor while genuinely just being a nicer person can take you far!

Lastly, have we embraced the Tao of Mutual Growth and Benefit like a religion? This is a philosophy to really get behind during Jupiter in Libra – how can we make life better for one another? And because Jupiter in Libra emphasizes the institutions of marriage and partnership, have we explored and/or come to a greater understanding regarding the principle of romantic happiness? Perhaps there are certain self-evident Truths we’ve learned that impact how we see a current relationship or relationships period; the hopeful result being that it leads (now or in the future) to a great union with more compatibility.

So how would you grade yourself at this midterm? You have 3 more months to bring your GPA up before finals; otherwise you’ll miss getting the most out of Jupiter in Libra. This is a once-in-12-years opportunity, so please don’t let it pass you by – Jupiter will not be back into Libra until 2028!
